Hasansky district — municipal district in the extreme South of Primorsky Krai. An administrative center – пгт. Slav. Hasansky district was stretched by rather narrow strip from the North to the south along the western coast of Amur Bay and Peter the Great Bay.The area includes more than 20 islands close to the coast. The largest of them – the island Furugelma, Big Pelis, Antipenko, Stenina and Sibiryakova.
The total area of the area together with islands - 4 130 km ².
Nature
The nature of the area differs in wealth and beauty. Her uniqueness and an originality it is caused by a variety of landscapes, mixture of northern and southern types of plants and animals. Many "Red Book" plants are only endemics of these places. The considerable part of the territory of the area is occupied by reserves: Far East Sea (DVGMZ) and Cedar Pad.Hasansky district has the developed river network. The largest rivers: Barabashevka, Amba, Narva, Ryazanovka, Flood plain, Smooth, Foggy. It is a little lakes and all of them are concentrated on the South of the area. The most significant of them: Hassan, Lotus, Bird's, Over the river, Swan.
