Kirovsky district. Shmakovka
Shmakovka — the village in Kirovsky district of Primorsky Krai as a part of the Kirov city settlement, is located between two largest cities of the Far East of Russia: in 340 kilometers to the North from Vladivostok and 430 km to the South from Khabarovsk. The population — 594 people. Often the village of Shmakovka is confused to the resort of "Shmakovka", but these are absolutely different settlements.
Geographical position
In the Kirovsky municipal district of Primorsky Krai three settlements have Shmakovk's name.The first — the resort of "Shmakovk" located in the settlement Mountain Keys. There is in 15 kilometers to the North from the regional center Kirovski, along the route "Ussuri" (Khabarovsk — Vladivostok). There are known sanatoria of Primorsky Krai — "Pearl" and "Emerald", sanatorium "50 years of October" and military sanatorium, and also the Sacred and Troitsk Nikolaev monastery.
The village of Shmakovka lies in 10 kilometers to the West from the settlement Kirovski. There is no monastery and a source of mineral water there.
The third settlement having the similar name — Shmakovk's station — is near DVZhD, at distance of 6 kilometers to the West from the village of Shmakovka, in 16 kilometers from the regional center Kirovski. The distance between Shmakovk's station and the resort of Shmakovka makes more than 30 kilometers, at the same time the next to the resort of federal importance of "Shmakovka" large railway station — Ruzhino, in the city of Lesozavodsk.
