Ore Pier. Dalnegorsky district


Ore Pier — the village (till October, 2004 — the settlement of city type) in Dalnegorsk the city district of Primorsky Krai.

It is located in the mouth of the river Ore, on the bank of a bay Ore the Sea of Japan.

History

The status of the settlement since 1927.

In the 1930th — the 1940th the settlement I was called Plavzavod on the melting (lead) plant constructed in 1930.

In 1945 it is renamed into Tetyukhe-pier (the approximate translation from Chinese — pier of the country of wild boars) on sea pier on its suburb and on an arrangement near boom. Tetyukhe (nowadays Ore).

In 1972 it is renamed into Ore Pier after a bay.

In 2004 the settlement of city type Ore Pier became the village.

Geography

The settlement is located in 35 km from Dalnegorsk and in 540 km on Osinovk Highway — Ore Pier from Vladivostok.

Ecology

In the village the metallurgical shop of Far East mining and metallurgical combine (lead processing) is located that creates an adverse ecological situation. According to research of Institute of Bleksmit the district is included into the list the most polluted in the world.
